Wario Land
Wario Land took the cover as Wario's first starring role, with Zoda's Revenge part two, NBA Jam, Wolfenstein 3D, Stunt Race FX and Metal Marines inside. Player's Pulse ran letters on games that turned out completely different than expected. The Metroid comic continued.

Chapter two, 'Zebes Rising'. With the Ceres colony lost, Samus reports to the Galactic Federation, where Chairman Keaton and Chief Officer Hardy insist the space pirates were destroyed long ago and the records of them running amok are false; she beat them once and will keep fighting them, alone, thank you. A Federation officer named Houston follows her anyway, one step closer to collecting the bounty. On Zebes, ready to rumble, Samus fights her way through the pirates with Houston's energy ball at her back, knowing Ridley and who knows what else are still waiting deep in the tunnels.
