Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose made the cover, with Star Fox, Wayne's World, King Arthur's World, Super Strike Eagle and Super Conflict inside. The 1992 Nester Awards were announced, and features asked what made Capcom so hot and covered Nintendo's tie-in with Kellogg's. Krusty's Fun House and The Empire Strikes Back covered the Game Boy pages.

Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
Wing Commander, with Nester as a wing commander shooting furballs — the Kilrathi — while waiting to become emperor of the known universe. His basic moves, like the High-G Twister Noodlizer, he learned from studying a plate of spaghetti, and when his wingman calls for help he goes off to kick some cat. In the Kilrathi brig afterwards the plan is still pasta: a giant rotini drill to dig their way out.
Star Fox

Benimaru Itoh's serial ran alongside the game, with the Arwing pilots as the magazine drew them: Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy against Andross, with a subplot the game never had.
Chapter two. The freighter fight turns when the lizards produce a hostage — Fara Phoenix, daughter of the spaceship magnate — and Slippy's late arrival, fresh from a bath, settles it. Phoenix is grateful enough to let the team test the new Arwings; training brings them to a 115% rating and Fox, flying circles, squares and triangles around Imperial fighters, is saved twice by an unknown pilot who turns out to be Fara herself, Corneria's chief test pilot. Two Arwings have just entered Imperial space, and General Pepper is not pleased.
