Shotaro Ishinomori's retelling of the Super NES game, drawn in the same year it was released and following Link from the rainy night at the castle to the Dark World.
The finale. Ganon never expected anyone to destroy Agahnim, but the foolish resistance ends now: trident against Master Sword, his dream of ruling both Light and Dark Worlds against Link's 'never'. It takes the enchanted arrow after all, and Ganon goes out frozen and shattered in a burst of ice; the whirlwind carries Link and Zelda home to Hyrule Castle, where the newly crowned Queen Zelda appoints Link Master of the Knights of Hyrule. The last page is the Master Sword back in its pedestal in the woods, and Link, in his new cloak, admitting it's ironic.

Charlie Nozawa's twelve-part comic, in which Bowser proposes to the Princess, Yoshi eats everything in reach and Luigi gets no respect. Collected in a book by Viz the following year.
The finale. Mario crashes the wedding as the brainwashed Princess pledges her love; the other Yoshis are trapped in the palace basement, where Luigi and Yoshi set them loose, and the Koopa Troopas can't hold them. The spell breaks, the Princess comes to her senses, the wedding cake collapses under Bowser — piece o' cake — and the Koopa King's insidious plans fail. Everyone goes home to the Mushroom Kingdom for a well-deserved rest, until their next great adventure. Ciao.
Nester's Adventures

Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
Super Star Wars: Nester and C-3PO race a landspeeder across the desert to rescue R2-D2 from the Jawas, Threepio suggesting the preferable strategy of running away and Nester dismissing him as a cowardly calculator. An extra life and a perimeter-defence tactic from the Zamboni system later, the blasting has burned out the speeder's phase converter, so Threepio's head goes in as a spark plug. There is no dignity in it; think of yourself as a champion.
