Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy II led the November issue as the Super NES sequel to the NES role-playing hit, with The Flintstones, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego, Ultimate Air Combat and Tom & Jerry on the NES side. The Game Boy section covered Battletoads, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, Faceball 2000 and Double Dragon II. Pak Watch looked toward the holiday releases.

This issue featured an interview with Robert Englund — American actor and director (born 1947).
Freddy Krueger, promoting Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, the sixth film and, he insisted, his last go at the character, and careful to say that nobody should want to grow up to be that ugly evil old cuss. In character he pitched a game in which Freddy destroys Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers, and out of it he was directing his first feature and about to shoot a television pilot for Wes Craven. His advice to fans: always wear a Power Glove. The retirement lasted three years: he was back for Wes Craven's New Nightmare and again for Freddy vs. Jason. He has never stopped working in horror, and a new generation met him as Victor Creel in the fourth season of Stranger Things.
I'm really proud of the new retractable blades I've designed on my Power Glove. Now, I'm more agile when I play.

Sweepstakes
The winner and a parent flew to Orlando for NBA All-Star Weekend, February 7 to 9, 1992, with tickets to the game and the Stay-In-School Jamboree, a package valued at $3,000. Second prize was an official sportscaster's jacket and hat, and the odds were printed for the first time: one in 1,350,000 cards.

Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
The banner reads 'Vote for Nester for President of Earth'. At the go-kart track the flagman's one rule is no crashing, and Nester knocks some sense into the competition until every kart is wreckage and he wants a real challenge — which the referee gives him by pressing the F-Zero Virtual Reality button. Now it's Pico's hover car against Nester's, trading insults about swamps and fish, with Captain Falcon on the dash advising him to ram Pico off-centre so he loses control. Nester wins and is dragged off the track a hero to all earthlings, or in the flagman's word, history.
