Star Trek
Star Trek made the cover as Konami's Enterprise game, with F-Zero in the Super NES Showcase and a look back at the original Metroid. Roger Clemens MVP Baseball and Shatterhand filled the NES features, and the Game Boy section covered Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, Bart Simpson's Escape from Camp Deadly and a track-meet roundup. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts got its first showing.
Isn't it weird how everyone's dressed up like Star Wars characters?”, “Nah. Last year, everyone dressed up as Madonna. That was really scary.

Power Profile
Celebrity profile · Volume 29
This issue featured an interview with Joe Regalbuto — American actor and director (born 1949).
Frank Fontana, the investigative reporter on Murphy Brown, then in its third season and one of the best-liked shows on television. He took a Game Boy skiing with Candice Bergen and Faith Ford and got heckled from the chairlift after a fall; at home he played Baseball and Bases Loaded with three kids who were too good to let him win but too kind to rub it in. He played Frank for all ten seasons and again for the 2018 revival, and in between became a working television director, including many episodes of Murphy Brown itself.
My kids are so good, I have to twist their arms to get them to play against me!

Nester's Adventures · Volume 29Nester's Adventures
2-page strip · from p. 18
Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
Halloween on a street where everyone has dressed as Star Wars characters, and Nester — Luke Skywalker — is going for the world record of 52 pounds of candy in an hour. Darth Vader tells him to open himself to the dark side; he'd rather open his bag. His friend Stu in a flying-saucer helmet becomes his springboard over the Boba Fetts and Ewoks queuing at Han Solo's place, where the first hundred trick-or-treaters get dental floss, waxed or unwaxed. The record falls anyway: 75 pounds, the biggest can of Stu in the world, which the other kids call cheating.
