Felix the Cat
Felix the Cat took the cover, with Prince of Persia, Dinocity, Little Samson, Soul Blazer, Clue, Monopoly and Super Bowling inside. Player's Pulse launched Brainstormin' for Mega Man, inviting readers to design characters for Capcom's next game. The editor's corner noted five Player's Guides in print, the newest on The Legend of Zelda.
Mark my words! They're tired, hungry, and best of all, lost. This cozy little bungalow is just too tempting for a snoopy pair like the Mario Bros.

Power Profile
Celebrity profile · Volume 40
This issue featured an interview with Tim Allen — American actor and comedian (born 1953).
Tim Taylor on Home Improvement, then in its first season and about to become the biggest sitcom in America. The interview is a Tim Allen set: his mother's theory that all men are grunting pigs, a weightless bowling ball smuggled into a taping, a turbo-combustion NES that would send Mario out of the screen to fix your house. Favourite tool, a Makita cordless drill; favourite game, the original Super Mario Bros., at two or three in the morning with the music stuck in his head. Home Improvement ran eight seasons, and along the way he became Buzz Lightyear and Santa Claus. Last Man Standing followed for nine more, and in 2025 he was back on ABC in Shifting Gears, playing, of course, a man who fixes things.
The title of the game would be 'More Power,' and the objective would be to successfully rewire and repair equipment. At the end, instead of saving the Princess, I'd get to be a guest on the Bob Vila Show.

Sweepstakes
The winner and a guest flew to Hollywood to meet DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, a trip valued at $2,000. The card asked whether readers wanted to keep the Zelda and Mario comics, and whether the new $99 Super NES Control Set changed their buying plans.
Comics
3 in this issue · Volume 40The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Chapter 9 of 12 · 16 pages
Shotaro Ishinomori's retelling of the Super NES game, drawn in the same year it was released and following Link from the rainy night at the castle to the Dark World.
Chapter nine, 'Wizzrobe's Trap'. The whirlpool throws Link into the arms of a red, tentacled horror that swallows him whole before Epheremelda can help, and when he comes to he's in an oasis where Zelda herself stands in the trees calling his name — too good to be true, and it is. Zora appears out of the water, as he can wherever there is water, unable to deny the faerie's request, and drags Link out of the wizard's trap through another whirlpool.
Super Mario Adventures
Chapter 9 of 12 · 8 pages · from p. 64
Charlie Nozawa's twelve-part comic, in which Bowser proposes to the Princess, Yoshi eats everything in reach and Luigi gets no respect. Collected in a book by Viz the following year.
Chapter nine. Yoshi's wings vanish at three thousand feet and the trio drops in front of an inviting, unlocked chalet that is obviously a trap — Mario says so, Luigi smells provolone. It's Bowser's haunted vacation retreat, and while Luigi follows the cheese the Boos close in; the only way through is back to back, sliding along the wall, don't turn around. Bowser, delighted, gets back to planning the perfect wedding.
Nester's Adventures
One-page strip · from p. 76
Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
Wings 2: Aces High. Nester answers an Over There poster — learn to fly in beautiful France, free burial service — and tells his flight instructor he's flown everything from hang gliders to space shuttles back home. Asked to show how the Split S is done, he loops the biplane into complete disorientation with the instructor screaming in the back seat, and the Red Baron, closing in, decides those pizza delivery guys are overrated.
