Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves made the cover, with Rockin' Kats, The Little Mermaid and Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure inside. A Super NES update looked at the coming system, and the poster carried photos of actual 16-bit graphics. The Game Boy section covered Sneaky Snakes, Navy Seals, Dick Tracy, Altered Space and Blades of Steel.

This issue featured an interview with Marsha Warfield — American actress and comedienne (born 1954).
Roz the bailiff on Night Court, a stand-up who had taken the stage on a dare and ended up opening for Chuck Berry. The whole cast played: they passed a Game Boy around between takes, John Larroquette started Super Mario Land in the middle, and Markie Post had challenged her to a Tetris link-up for the next season. Her own game was Super Mario Bros. 3, which she loved and had given up on. After Night Court she hosted her own daytime talk show, then left performing for years to care for her mother. She came back to stand-up in her sixties, and returned as Roz for the Night Court revival in 2023.

Nester carried on alone after Howard left Nintendo in 1991, walking into one game a month and finding out the hard way that reading the strategy pages would have helped.
The first strip on his own opens with Nester painting over Howard's bow tie — a clip-on, he knew it — and taking a summer job at Camp Wompaho as official video game counselor for $25 and three Game Paks a week. Round the campfire the kids tell of the Lake Wompaho mutant trout, and Nester counters with the time he stole a Russian submarine in The Hunt for Red October, parking it under an iceberg and picking off the enemy one by one. Dared to swim with the trout, he goes in, and the trout — sick of bony kids — thinks it might barf.
