About this game

Guerrilla War, released in Japan as Guevara, is a 1987 run and gun video game developed and published by SNK for arcades. It was ported to the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, MS-DOS, Nintendo Entertainment System, and ZX Spectrum.

It is a 2D top-down shooter taking place on an unnamed Caribbean island which shape reminds of Cuba. There are two heroes fighting against enemies in various environments (jungle, city, marsh, bridge, etc.) and their goal is to dethrone an evil dictator. It is a port of an Arcade game in which the island was Cuba indeed while the two heroes were Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. The evil dictator was Fulgencio Batista.
